BRUNO BANI

Bruno Bani was born in Cernusco sul Naviglio (Milan) in 1964 and started devoting himself to photography in his teens. Since 1978 he has been working at a pre-press and printing company where he is currently project manager. As a photographer, he collaborates with art galleries and artists' archives, public and private companies, cultural organisations, magazines and publishing houses. Since 2006, he has combined his interest in photography with that in painting. His works have been exhibited at several contemporary art fairs in Italy (Affordable art Fair, Milan, Arte Cremona, Cremona, PaviArt, Pavia and Arte Padova, Padua) and abroad (Affordable art Fair, New York and Antwerp Art Fair, Mulhouse Cedex France). Between 2016 and 2018, his solo exhibitions were held at the Alson Gallery and Statuto13 in Milan, the Hotel Baglioni in London and the Bottegantica gallery in Bologna. He participated with his work in several events for the Fuori Salone del Mobile 2018 in Milan. In a text about the artist's work, Roberto Sottile writes "Bani's works seem to be generated and blocked in the moment of becoming 'other', one would like to touch them to understand how the artist managed to mould matter and subjugate it to the rules of stability and harmony. Time and matter, but more simply construction and form!" The years from 2019 to 2024 are those of his definitive consecration, also on an international level, with important exhibitions in galleries and public places in Italy, Spain, and England. In 2024, he began a collaboration with the Piero Della Francesca Art Gallery, which had already been dealing with his work for a few years, and which began proposing his large-format works with great success. He lives and works in Milan.
