Alberto Zamboni was born in Bologna in 1971 where he still lives and works. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna with a thesis on Magellan's travels, illustrating in an imaginary way his main points through the reading of A.Pigafetta's logbook. From the very beginning he carried out his painting activity with particular attention to certain impressions suggested by ancient travel readings. Now his painting is based on atmospheric research, which in recent years finds enormous inspiration through the readings of G.Simenon and H.Melville. In addition to painting, he is also interested in the world of illustration. His paintings are oils on canvas and represent imaginary landscapes in which a luminous atmosphere is evoked, linked to the need to focus on the concept of enchantment and to investigate the soul of things. Alberto Zamboni has participated in important exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale (2011) and the Biennale of Drawing in Rimini. In 2015 he began his collaboration with the Piero Della Francesca Art Gallery (historical Italian gallery and reference point for lovers of figuration) where, in November 2018, he exhibited a vast production of works in the solo exhibition "Incanto", curated by Giorgio Vaiani Lisi.
